Jimmy Garoppolo is having a better day than anyone reading this, guaranteed.
Why you might ask?
At 4 p.m. today, the 49ers quarterback’s pockets got a little fatter when his team deposited $28 million in his bank account.

After being traded from the Patriots to the Niners, Garappolo lead San Francisco to a 5-0 record to finish the year, earning himself a five-year contract worth $48.7 million in fully guaranteed money. The deal included a $7 million signing bonus as well as a $28 million roster bonus, which was the sum paid on Friday.
As if that wasn’t enough, Garoppolo will earn another $600,000 for simply showing up to the team’s pre-season workouts.
Must be nice.
