Alabama Pastor Cuts Up Nike Gear During Church Sermon, Receives Standing Ovation

The backlash of Nike following the use of former Colin Kaepernick in a ‘Just do it.’ advertisement as been widespread, and protests of the company have now spread into church.

Mobile, Alabama reverend Mack Morris spoke at a congregation Sunday and made it known to the crowd on hand that he will no longer buy Nike products in boycott of Kaepernick earning money “simply because he won’t stand when the national anthem is sung.”

Morris also cut up some of his Nike gear and received a standing ovation.

The incident comes on the back of a mayor in Louisiana banning all Nike products from his entire city’s recreation facilities.
