When people say Johnny Manziel will never play professional football again, they may be wrong.

How? According to TMZ, the Arena Football League wants him. The league also believes they can provide a platform as a stepping stone to get back into the NFL.

AFL commisioner Scott Butera says his league is ready and willing to provide Manziel with whatever support he needs to aid in his football comeback. ‘If Johnny’s serious about recommitting to football, the AFL would be the perfect place to rehone his skills and prove to NFL teams he can still play at a high level. We could provide a strong platform for him to demonstrate that he is back,” Butera says.
“We would also work with him and provide him whatever help he needs to live a healthy life.”
FYI, several players have gone from the AFL to the NFL … including Super Bowl MVP Kurt Warner.
We’ve reached out to Johnny to gauge his interest — so far, no word back.

It goes without saying one of the main reasons the AFL would want Manziel is for the monetary rewards of having a player people would tune in or go to the games to see.
