Bears TE Zach Miller suffered a scary leg injury against the New Orleans Saints on Oct. 29th. The injury forced doctors to perform surgery to not only save his career, but also his leg, as the blood flow to his knee had been disrupted by the scary injury.
Ultimately, the doctors saved his leg and Miller was released from the hospital. The Bears tight end released this heart-felt message via his Instagram:
To paraphrase, Miller thanked the fans, players, personnel and doctors across the league, as everyone was praying for him to undergo successful surgery to avoid losing a leg.
It remains unclear if Miller will play again, but the eight-year veteran will spend the next couple of months rehabbing and figuring out if it’s in his best interest to continue his career.
