Bears TE Zach Miller Shares Video Of Him Walking Two Months After Nearly Having Leg Amputated

Back in October, Bears TE Zach Miller suffered one of the more gruesome leg injuries you’ll ever see.

The injury was so severe, doctors feared they’d have to amputate Miller’s leg. Ultimately, they saved Miller’s leg and Miller was hospitalized for three weeks after having eight surgeries.

In an Instagram post, the Bears TE shared a 17-second video of himself walking without any crutches while wearing a bulky brace:

Miller returned to the team facility last week and said he has not considered his future as it pertains to football:

“I haven’t thought much about football I haven’t gotten to that point. It’s just getting right, getting healed up, and when that decision comes, making a decision. Do I want to play football? What do you think? I’ve been playing football my whole life. I would love to play football.”

Zach Miller hauled in 20 catches for 236 yards and two touchdowns prior to the injury.
