In a time where the NFL is dealing with dark clouds surrounding them, one of the bright spots has been Cincinnati Bengals defensive lineman, Devon Still.
Still, a second selection by the Bengals in the 2012 draft was cut last August after two season. The following day, the Bengals re-signed Still to their practice squad to help him pay for his four-year-old daughter, Leah’s cancer treatment. Most recently, Still was signed to the 53-man roster.
Before his four-year-old daughter, Leah, went in for surgery for pediatric cancer on Thursday, Still gave her a quick pep talk that would make anyone’s heart melt. According to Still’s Instagram page, the doctors were able to remove Leah’s tumor.
At the 2012 NFL Draft, Still was selected in the second round by the Cincinnati Bengals, with the 53rd overall selection. He played two seasons with the team before being cut in late August 2014, prior to the start of the season. The following day, the Bengals re-signed Still to the practice squad to help him pay for his daughter’s cancer treatment
