Giants Trade Cornerback Eli Apple To The Saints

With the Saints season focused on gearing up for another Super Bowl run and the Giants season set on gearing up for a top pick in the NFL draft, the teams have agreed on a trade to send New York cornerback Eli Apple to New Orleans.

The Saints are sending back a 2019 fourth-round pick and 2020 seventh-rounder, for the former 10th overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.

The move comes just hours after the team fell to 1-6 in a disastrous first season for coach Pat Shurmur and GM Dave Gettleman.

The trade follows the departure of offensive tackle Ereck Flowers, another top draft pick who didn’t pan out for the G-Men.
