BREAKING: Miami Dolphins Sign Unknown 55-Year-Old Free Agent QB Van Narino

DAVIE, FL – With only a month left before the season kick off, the Dolphins find themselves scrambling to find a quarterback to fill in the Ryan Tannehill, who will likely miss the season with a knee injury. That search may now be over.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that the Dolphins have signed unknown 55-year-old free agent quarterback Van Narino.

Narino, who’s 6’4″, 228lbs., was picked up after someone within the organization referred Phins’ General Manager Chris Grier to him, saying he lived in the area and was always familiar with the organization.

“Narino played a few years at the University of Pittsburgh, and we think he has what it takes, Dolphins owner Stephen Ross told the media. “We explored bringing in Jay Cutler, but we’d like to not finish last in the division this year. We thought about Kaepenrick as well, but Tannehill’s already going to be sitting on the sideline for us.”

Details of the contract have no yet been released.
