Crazy Stat of the Day: Larry Fitzgerald Has Only 24 Drops His Entire 12 Year Career

Drops were one of the most pressing topics this week when talking about the Denver broncos and how they would fair vs the Patriots this Sunday. During the Divisional versus the Steelers, Denver wide receivers had drop after drop, and whether that be due to Manning’s less than stellar spiral, or lack there of, or the howling winds which swept Mile High, it may have to be remedied to beat the defending Super Bowl champs.

Meanwhile down in Arizona, one of the positions all-time greats is gearing up at a shot to get his first, and well deserved ring.

NFL Network posted a graphic Saturday night showing the total drops for Larry Fitzgerald’s entire, 12 year career, and the result is mind blowing. To put this into perspective, Bronco WR and one of the leagues best Demaryius Thomas had 22 drops just this season, a feat which took Fitzgerald 10 years to reach.

There may not be another sure handed, better all-around skilled wide receiver in the game right now. Hall of Fame and former Cardinals QB Kurt Warner spoke about Fitzgerald saying, “Phenomenal hands. I’ve never seen anybody with better hands.”
