One of the best, if not the best, throwback uniform in all of the NFL is Philadelphia’s kelly green kits. Those may soon be making a comeback.

This week Washington made a rule change proposal that now allows NFL teams to opt out of wearing their Color Rush uniforms. Another rule change that could happen.

During the NFL’s annual meetings this year. one of the topics being discussed would be a proposal to revise the seemingly pointless rule that prohibits NFL teams from wearing a different colored helmet as part of their uniform.

That rule change may come courtesy of the Eagles, who applied to reinstate the use of their kelly green helmet.

If it passes, other teams would be allowed to wear their throwback helmets once again, including the popular Patriots retro design.
