Eagles Trade Sam Bradford To Vikings To Replace Teddy Bridgewater

Minnesota Vikings fans are not having a good week. On Wednesday, their franchise QB Teddy Bridgewater went down with a dislocated knee and torn ACL during practice, an injury that will put him out for the entire season and some. Just days later, the Vikings front office just traded away a first-round pick and fourth-round pick for Mr. Glass to replace him.

Now granted, Sam Bradford may be more appetizing than “the Vikings sign Mark Sanchez,” but this move proves Sam Bradford is still somehow the most pricey QB relative to his production in the NFL.

The team will give up the first-round pick in 2017 and the additional pick in 2018. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because the deal had not been announced.

The move shows the Vikings are serious about winning and winning now. Though Sam Bradford is likely the most talented quarterback on the free agent market currently, the price they gave up shows they are desperate to win in 2016.

As a surprise to many, the Eagles won’t slide backup Chase Daniel into the starting spot, but rather get the Carson Wentz era in Philadelphia quicker than expected, naming their 2nd overall pick their 2016 starter.
