Eli Manning Gets Emotional During Tom Coughlin’s Final Press Conference As Coach Of Giants

After 12 years and two amazing Super Bowl runs, Tom Coughlin has stepped down as head coach of the New York Giants.

On Tuesday, Coughlin held his final press conference as coach of the Giants, Coughlin gave a final message to his quarterback, Eli Manning:

He [Eli] can handle it all. He’s done it before he can do it again. He’s extremely bright, he’s extremely competitive. He’s everything you want to a son to be made out of. He’s not the reason, he thinks he’s the reason. When we lose, I lose. When we win, you guys win. I got the game.

For a quarterback who didn’t show emotion after winning two Super Bowls, seeing Eli get this emotional is somewhat surprising but it goes to show what relationship he and Coughlin had.
