During Monday morning’s highlight of the Chiefs’ Travis Kelce’s touchdown dance from Sunday’s game against the Bills, SportsCenter anchor Robert Flores spoke his mind and openly wondered why no one, particularly ESPN’s obnoxious debate show, was up in arms over the Chiefs’ tight end hitting the Quan. The show and numerous others ripped Cam Newton for dancing after his scores in the Panthers’ win over the Titans two weeks previous, which prompted a wave of scorching opinions about the ethics of dabbing in a football game.

After Travis Kelce scored a touchdown in Sunday’s Bills-Chiefs game, Kelce “hit the quan” in the end zone, Flores had this to say live on air:

“Now, I’m wondering why there’s no letters to the editor, or why First Take’s not doing, “Should Travis Kelce be dancing in the end zone?”

Jay Crawford added with a, “You sure they didn’t?”

They didn’t. I wonder why they’re not doing that. Oh wait, it’s because he’s not black. That’s probably what it is.”

Flores might be on to something here.
