Every Player On High School Football Team Gives Cheerleader With Leukemia A Rose Pregame

Many football players run out onto the field between the cliché row of cheerleaders likely with the big game ahead of them on their minds. On this night, these football players were thinking about something different.

On Friday night, every Foothill High School football player laid a rose at the feet of a very surprised cheerleader in Ashley Adamietz. Why? Adameitz has been diagnosed with leukemia, which the team says her battle has inspired them. As the video notes, orange is the recognized color for leukemia awareness.

“We took care of family business, before we took care of business on the field,” said head coach Joey Brown.
