Ezekiel Elliott Fined $13,369 By The NFL For Donating To The Salvation Army After Touchdown

Ezekiel Eliott just got fined by the NFL for perhaps the most un-fineable thing ever – donating to charity.

The Cowboys running back ran in a score in the opening minutes of the team’s Thanksgiving day game against the Redskins and passed up a touchdown dance to donate to the Salvation Army. Elliott threw $21 being held for him by a sideline staffer into the big red kettle sat behind the end zone.

Those 21 bucks just cost him $13,348. The NFL fined Elliott $13,369, citing unsportsmanlike conduct and the usage of a “prop” during a celebration.

Elliott, who was warned by the NFL last year after jumping into the bin, had some thoughts for the league saying, “I mean, I didn’t really expect a fine. Really don’t care about the fine. It’s all for a good cause. We’re trying to bring awareness to the Salvation Army. If the NFL doesn’t like that, then, that’s on them. I’ll pay their little fine.”

Elliott is already donating $21,000 of his own money to the charity.

  1. So, let me get this straight. ….. They are getting fined for donating their own money to an organization but yet these same douchebags won’t get fined if they do this stupid taking a knee shit?

  2. What the WHAT???? That is THE dumbest thing I have EVER heard. He is being fined for DOING A GOOD DEED??? Doing good deeds is a rarity in the NFL holy crap..
Way to go zeke!! Love my Buckeyes!!!!

  3. Whoever in the NFL would make a decision to fine a player for donating to charity has some serious moral issues themselves. They should be ashamed! Way to go Mr. Elliot! You are a great example of humanity! So sorry those idiots levied a fine. Keep up the good works! 💖

  4. The NFL sucks anymore sad that the players can’t donate to charity like this but they can take a knee and protest. All while the asshats in theirs suits that run the NFL come up with stupid fines like this. Get real NFL you suck anymore.

  5. I sure hope he gets that looked at by the committee…unbelievable, if i had not already stopped watching NFL and buying any of the merchandise they over price, I sure do now! and Honestly, someone please tell them that hijacking the camo print for their own means does nothing in light of dumb moves like this and the take a knee stance they have.

To fine a player $13348 for donating to a charity is more of the bullshit the NFL has come to be known for.
    So sad …

  7. This latest situation with Ezekiel Elliot points to a bigger issue. He was dinating to the Salvation Army and was fined $13,348! Since the NFL chose to do that, I am now renaming the NFL as the “No Faith in the Lord” league. You have got to be kidding me!!! Fining someone for giving to the Salvation Army is like handing out a speeding ticket to a race car driver during at Indy 500!!! NFL, your true colors are showing. I will continue to watch any games this year just like I did last year, but this time it might be for good!!! ☺

  9. First of all I want to say terrific blog! I had a quick question which I’d like to ask if you don’t mind. I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear your head prior to writing. I have had a tough time clearing my thoughts in getting my ideas out. I do take pleasure in writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are usually lost simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any ideas or hints? Thank you!|
