Ezekiel Eliott just got fined by the NFL for perhaps the most un-fineable thing ever – donating to charity.
The Cowboys running back ran in a score in the opening minutes of the team’s Thanksgiving day game against the Redskins and passed up a touchdown dance to donate to the Salvation Army. Elliott threw $21 being held for him by a sideline staffer into the big red kettle sat behind the end zone.

Those 21 bucks just cost him $13,348. The NFL fined Elliott $13,369, citing unsportsmanlike conduct and the usage of a “prop” during a celebration.
Elliott, who was warned by the NFL last year after jumping into the bin, had some thoughts for the league saying, “I mean, I didn’t really expect a fine. Really don’t care about the fine. It’s all for a good cause. We’re trying to bring awareness to the Salvation Army. If the NFL doesn’t like that, then, that’s on them. I’ll pay their little fine.”
Elliott is already donating $21,000 of his own money to the charity.
