Florida State’s Xavier Rathan-Mayes Scores 30 Points In Final Four Minutes vs. Miami

Florida State was down 62-44 to with just over four minutes renaming during Wednesday night’s game vs. Miami when Seminoles’ freshman and Canada native, Xavier Rathan-Mayes literally put the team on his back.

During a timeout with and the score getting out of reach, one of Rathan-Mayes’ teammates, Montay Brandon, approached him and told him that the team needed him and Rathan-Mayes delivered. Inspired by his teammates words as Mayes put, he was able to pour display a historic shooting display. The 6-foot-4 guard scored 30 points in the final 4:38, a onslaught that included six 3-pointers, a pair of layups and eight free throws. 

Xavier Rathan-Mayes finished the game with 35 points and the Seminoles fell short of a victory, losing 81-77 despite the heroic performance by their sensational freshman.
