At just the age of 30, Myron Rolle has accomplished more than most of us will ever fathom of accomplishing in our lifetimes.

The former Florida State football star turned NFL player is taking on his second passion in his next venture, medicine, announcing Friday he was accepted for a neurosurgery residency at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital.

The 30-year-old played safety for the Seminoles while studying medicine and obtaining the prestigious Rhodes scholarship, then earning a master’s degree in medical anthropology at the University of Oxford.

“Saving lives and helping people live a better life, that’s going to make life worth living,” Rolle told WCTV’s Erika Fernandez on Friday.
