Giants HC Pat Shurmur Believes Eli Manning Has “Years Left” As A Starting Quarterback

The discussions surrounding Eli Manning and his future with the New York Giants is the topic of discussions in New York as the Giants continue to struggle offensively and are eliminated from playoff contention yet again.

Coming off a 17-0 loss to the Tennessee Titans where Eli Manning clearly looked like a shell of himself, reporters asked head coach Pat Shurmur whether Manning would remain the teams’ starting quarterback against the Colts in Week 16.

Not only did Shurmur name Manning the starter vs Colts but he also said he believed the 37-year old had “years left.”

The Giants opted to take Saquon Barkley with the No. 2 pick instead of taking a quarterback in last April’s 2018 Draft.

They took Kyle Lauletta in the fourth round but seem to be against giving him quality playing time in these meaningless games, deciding Eli Manning “gives them the best chance to win” and while that may be true, saying Eli has “years left” is well, a flat out lie.
