The Cleveland Browns are just two games away from a perfect season.

In attempt to shed some light on the shadow of misery that must be Cleveland in the winter with the Cavaliers resting their players and the Browns, well, being the Browns, fans have come up with an idea to throw a parade for the perfect season.

The elusive 0-16 record has only been obtained once before, from the 2008 Lions, but they may have some company soon. But unlike Detroit, if the Browns fail to Chargers and Steelers in their final two games of the season, they’ll be getting a parade.

A GoFundMe page was started earlier this season to fund the parade scheduled for January 7th, which as of Monday morning, has reached its goal.

The listing reads –

This fund is created to help pay for the Browns 0-16 Perfect Season Parade. The parade committee needs your help to raise money for the costs of the parade. While expenses aren’t excessive, we are still responsible for security, parade fees, insurance, bathroom facilities, etc. Therefore, we are asking for any help that we can get. All of the money raised will go BACK TO THE PARADE. None of this money will be pocketed. It will be used to cover the expenses of the parade. Any amount that you can give would be GREATLY appreciated. Even if each of the registered parade guests gave $1, almost all of the expenses would be covered. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. We hope that you are able to donate, however much, and even more so, we hope to see you at the parade January 7!

And if there was any doubt this was just some sort of practical joke with legs, physical documentation has been filed with the city for the parade
