If you’re looking to make a good first impression, this is probably the book on how not to go about things.

Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Dan Skuta was arrested and charged with first-degree misdemeanor battery at 2 AM on June 19 in Orlando, FL (apparently not the place to be right now) according to public records provided by the Orange County (Fla.) courthouse.

In the police report obtained by TMZ Sports, Skuta allegedly approached the woman and began flirting with her. When Skuta asked for [victim’s] phone number where she told him no, a verbal altercation ensued between the two. The altercation turned physical when Skuta pushed victim’s face with an open hand which caused the back of her head to hit a glass window.”

The victim then allegedly refused medical treatment. Cops say they believe Skuta was intoxicated at the time of the incident.

According to NFL.com, “The Jaguars are aware of the situation involving linebacker Dan Skuta and are currently gathering more information,” the team said in a statement. “The team has been in constant communication with Dan through this process in its entirety. No further comment can be made at this time.”

The 6’3″, 250lb Skuta was currently battling second-round pick Myles Jack for a outside linebacker this season.

He has since pled not guilty and due back in court next month.
