Linebacker James Harrison Announces Retirement

NFL quarterbacks will sleep a little easier tomorrow night after James Harrison announced his retirement from football.
The 39-year-old who’s set to turn 40 next month, shared an Instagram post Monday morning, writing, “I’ve missed way too much for way too long…I’m done. Many thanks to my family, coaches, the fans, and everyone who played a role in my football life.”

Harrison began his Pro-Bowl ridden career by signing with Pittsburgh Steelers as an un-drafted rookie in 2002.

Harrison, who will be remembered for perhaps one of the greatest plays in Super Bowl history) spent one year with the Bengals in 2013 only to go back to the Steelers. The linebacker then finished his career in New England.
