Well, this relationship is off to a pleasant start.
After watching film from Monday’s 33-13 loss to the Rams, in which QB Derek Carr threw three interceptions, head coach Jon Gruden had some things to say about his quarterback’s performance:
Gruden: “Cooper was open deep, he was open a couple times. For whatever reason, we didn’t go there.”

Here’s what Carr had to say:
Carr said it’s been a tough adjustment, as Gruden wants him to throw it away and punt rather than make a mistake. “We’re trying to find that line together.” #Raiders

Jon Gruden is already under the microscope in Oakland after his controversial decision to trade star pass rusher Khalil Mack; Publicly criticizing his quarterback won’t exactly help the already tense situation.
The road doesn’t get easier for the Raiders as they are set to face their division rival, Broncos on Sunday afternoon so Gruden and Carr better get this thing figured out, as Denver’s dominant defense awaits.
