Kobe Bryant most likely will not play in the Lakers opener, and even head coach Mike D’Antoni doesn’t believe he’ll be ready to go. Last week Kobe said that he is fat, and out of shape and needs at least three weeks of intense workout to be ready to play again.
Reporter: “Any chance that Kobe will be able to play in the first game against the Clippers?”
D’Antoni: “No. I don’t think so. We’ll see. I think it’s an ongoing process but that would be tough.”
