Michigan Offense Lines Up In The Strangest Formation You’ve Ever Seen

screen-shot-2016-10-01-at-4-46-24-pm Jim Harbaugh is no ordinary coach. He sleeps over at recruit’s houses, makes hilariously cringeworthy rap videos, and now, calling formations like these.

At the end of the first quarter with Michigan offense in the red zone, the Wolverines gave a whole new meaning the ‘I’ formation, lining all 11 players up directly behind the center in a play that’s apparently called “The Train.”

Collegian rules state you need at least five players on the line of scrimmage when the ball is snapped, meaning the Wolverines would have been flagged as it. They did eventually realign to a more “normal” formation.
