Derek Carr suffered a back injury back in Week 4 of the season that caused him to miss one game for the Raiders.
That injury was allegedly a message from the Raiders’ offensive line, according to Miko Grimes.
Grimes, the wife of Buccaneers cornerback Brent Grimes, who is know to be outspoken was a guest on “The Breakfast Club” on Tuesday morning, Grimes said Oakland’s offensive line was upset with Carr about his stance on the anthem protest and allowed him to take countless shots vs Broncos:

Here is Grimes’ claim of what happened with the Raiders:
“(Carr) was against (the offensive line) protesting. And they had a fight in the locker room before that Monday night game with the Redskins. They were fighting in the locker room, and that’s the only all-black offensive line in the NFL is the Raiders.
“Derek Carr is a bible-thumper to the fullest. And so he was basically trying to force the players to read the bible before the game, and do all this stuff and they were like, ‘No, that’s you.’ And so he was so upset about it, when the whole offensive line said they were going to kneel, he was like, ‘No, you’re not kneeling. This is America, you’re going to stand for the flag.’ And they got in a fight in the locker room, so when they came out to play, they basically had a plan.”
Here’s where Grimes story comes off as bull sh-t. Grimes claims the fight happened before the game against the Redskins, and Carr got sacked a season-high four times in that game. However, Carr’s injury, however, occurred one week later, against the Broncos:

Dianna Russini of ESPN.com later reported a longer explanation as for the discussions among the Raiders about the anthem, saying a Raiders source told her that Grimes’ claim “couldn’t be further from the truth.”

Raiders went to Washington D.C. and discussed as a team including the owner, head coach, and team leaders how they would handle the anthem

Why Miko Grimes would make such an outrageous claim about a team her husband doesn’t play for is beyond belief.
