Odell Beckham has been lighting up the NFL ever since he first exploded on the scene two years ago.

Showcasing his insane catching skills in warmups for thousands of on-looking cameras, flamboyantly dancing pregame and mid-game in his custom painted cleats and gloves – it all looked like the Giants wide receiver was having more fun than any other player in the league.

Times have apparently changed.

Odell Beckham has gone from a player touted as arguably the best WR in the NFL coming into this season to a mediocre player in just four games, and worse, distraction both on and off the field.

Beckham has struggled mightily throughout the first four games of the 2016 season, scoring exactly zero touchdowns in a year that was supposed to be promising, with Victor Cruz coming back and rookie Sterling Shepard also aiding in taking double teams away.

The latest of those struggles came Monday night, where Beckham has the worst performance of his entire carer, hauling in three catches for only 23 yards. To put that into perspective, Vikings CB Xavier Rhodes who spent the night covering Beckham, had more yards receiving than he did.

#13 has struggled so much both in terms of play and mentally, that he says he isn’t having fun anymore.

“Football is my sanctuary,” Beckham told ESPN’s Anita Marks in an interview following the loss in Minnesota. “It’s where I go to escape. It’s where I’m most happy. I’m not having fun anymore.”

Beckham also touched on last season’s infamous matchup with then Panthers CB Josh Norman , saying that it “tarnished” his image and blamed the media for continuing to focus on his on-field conduct.

Odell also complained about his role in the offense, noting, “When asked about potentially getting more involved in making offensive adjustments on the sideline.”
