Rams Coach Sean McVay is So Young, He Played Football Against Julian Edelman In College

When Super Bowl LIII ends on the night of February 3rd, either Bill Belichick will become the oldest coach to win the big game or Sean McVay will be the youngest.

If you needed any perspective to just how young Sean McVay at the age of 30 is as an NFL head coach, he played a football game in college against Patriots WR Julian Edelman.

McVay attended Miami University of Ohio where he as a wide receiver from 2004 to 2007, graduating in 2008. He recorded 39 receptions for 312 yards for the RedHawks over the course of his career.

Those Redhawks just so happen to face off against Kent State, with Julian Edelman playing quarterback for the Golden Eagles.

In that game, Edelman completed 19/33 passes for 260 yards and 2 INTS, exactly why he isn’t playing quarterback for the Patriots. It’s also worth mentioning that quarterback is 11 years older than the coach he’ll be going against in Super Bowl LIII.

On the flip side caught 3 balls for 37 yards during their matchup.
