REPORT: AAF Reached To Colin Kaepernick About Joining League

The Alliance of American Football League had a very successful first week that produced some solid ratings.

Now, the AAF is thinking bigger as it’s tried to target one of the more controversial football figures in recent memory.

Colin Kaepernick, who has been shunned out of the NFL since 2016 for protesting racial and social injustices during the playing of the National Anthem.

League co-founder Bill Polian told Lindsay Jones of The Athletic that CEO Charlie Ebersol reached out to the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback if he was interested in playing:

Kaepernick has received little interest from teams since opting out of his contract with the 49ers. His best friend Eric Reid, who started kneeling alongside him when the protests first started just received a 3-year contract extension with the Carolina Panthers after they signed him during Week 4 of the 2018 season.
