Dolphins Players Reportedly Said They Wanted To Be Traded If Coach Adam Gase Wasn’t Fired

Adam Gase was let go as head coach of the Miami Dolphins Monday morning as part of the slew of firings across the NFL.

Though the others were somewhat obvious and expected, Gase’s stay in Miami was not a foregone conclusion, but not assuredly in jeopardy.

New reports surfacing out of South Florida reveal the Dolphins may have had no option but to can their coach, as he had lost the locker room, especially amongst the veterans.

Gase’s “excuse making” for QB Ryan Tannehill got old for the position players in Miami. Other players were upset at their roles on the team.

Running back Kenyan Drake allegedly even wanted to be traded if Gase was retained.
