REPORT: Giants Could Start Daniel Jones Week 1

Following an impressive spring from rookie Daniel Jones, Giants head coach Pat Shurmur left the door wide open for the No. 6 overall pick to win the starting job Week 1 against the Dallas Cowboys.

Via NJ.com:

“I think we’re going to play the very best player,” Shurmur said following Tuesday’s OTA practice, when asked directly if there is a quarterback competition on tap during training camp. “I know we’re dancing around the words there. Eli is getting ready to have a great year and Daniel is getting ready to play. We’ll see what happens with it.”

As the Giants finish up OTA’s and head into Training Camp, this storyline is definitely something to monitor.
