REPORT: Jordy Nelson To Retire From NFL After Suffering Through 9 Games With The Raiders

The Oakland Raiders fell to the Chargers in another brutal loss, their ninth on the season.

Following the game, it was reported that one anonymous veteran player said “I gotta get the f*ck outta here.” Based on Monday morning’s reports, we wouldn’t be surprised if that player was Jordy Nelson.

CBS Sports Radio’s Scott Gulbransen sent out a mysterious tweet pointing towards Jordy Nelson being done after the loss.

On Monday morning, Chris Reed of Silver & Black Today mentioned along with the tweet that he had heard that Nelson would be hanging it up the following day after suffering through just nine games in the bay.

The 33-year-old receiver spent nine seasons in Green Bay with Aaron Rodgers throwing to him, racking up 550 catches for 7,848 yards and 69 touchdowns. Nelson’s totals through half a season in Oakland stretch total just 25 passes for 353 yards and three touchdowns.

It appears as if Jon Gruden no longer has to get rid of good players, since they’re simply getting rid of themselves.
