Tom Brady has made it clear that he would like the be playing in the NFL until he’s 45, but after losing in the Super Bowl and a long offseason, it looks like those plans aren’t quite set in stone.
The New England Patriots quarterback opened up with filmmaker Gotham Chopra for the final episode of Brady’s documentary, “Tom vs. Time.” With his wife Gisele sitting by his side, Brady was asked how much longer he wanted to play, saying after two more Super Bowls. Super Bowl LII last season was the first of those two.
Gisele has been open about wanted her husband to retire and spend time with her and their children, while at the same time avoiding any unnecessary hits that could lead to injury.
In a recent interview with Oprah Winfrey, the topic of retirement was also prevalent, with Brady saying, “I think about [retiring] more now than I used to. I think I’m seeing there’s definitely an end coming sooner, rather than later.”
