Retractable Roof Of New Falcons Stadium Already Broken, Will Remain Shut For Rest Of Season

The Falcons new extravagant roof of their new digs, $1.5B Mercedes Benz Stadium has had a failure not even halfway into it’s inaugural season.

Severe weather in Atlanta last weekend sprung a substantial leak in the paneling of the camera aperture-style architecture, noticed during a marching band competition in the stadium Saturday.

Umbrellas and tarps were used to contain the water falling.

The roof will remain shut for the remainder of the NFL season as it’s repaired. It has only been opened twice since the stadium opened, once for a Falcons game and once for an Atlanta Untied MLS match.

Guess you could say the Falcons blew a 25-inch leak.
