Second Member Of 2007 Florida Gators Team Arrested For Murder

The 2007 Florida Gators football team killed it on the field, and apparently they didn’t stop once they got off it.

A former teammate of Aaron Hernandez was arrested for the murder of his wife.

Tony Joiner was detained in Lake Wales, Florida on Saturday and charged with second-degree murder in 2016, a case that remained unsolved three years after her death, until now.

His wife, Heyzel Obando, was found dead in her apartment complex on Valentine’s Day in 2016.

Joiner, a team captain to the ’07 team, was arrested twice for beating Obando while she was alive.

Aaron Hernandez, former tight end for Urban Meyer’s team, was of course infamously indicted on murder charges of his own in 2013 for the murder of Odin Lloyd and a year later for a double homicide that took place in 2012.

Joiner and Hernandez both has multiple run-ins with the law during their time at UF on a team that also included Tim Tebow, Percy Harvin, Maurkice Pouncey, Cam Newton and Riley Cooper.

ESPN, can we get a 30 for 30 on this team already?
