The NFL Flagged Drew Brees For Celebrating After Breaking The All-Time Passing Record

The NFL is truly the ‘No Fun League’ and this may be the epitome of that.

Drew Brees broke the all-time record for passing yards Monday night against the Redskins via a 62-yard touchdown pass and were promptly rewarded with a flag.

Brees and his teammates celebrated with the 75,000 on hand in the Mercedes Benz Superdome to watch history for a brief moment following the play, and yet he and the Saints were hit with a celebration penalty by the officials that was assessed to the ensuing kickoff.

We’re sure the moment Brees got with his home and fans, teammates, coaches and family was worth the 15 yards.
