The amount of New England Patriots that wold skip out on the celebratory annual White House visit for the Super Bowl champions was a topic of debate with Donald Trump now in office. After numerous players made it clear they won’t be attending, Tom Brady has reportedly made the same decision, this coming just hours before the team is to arrive.

The Patriots QB issues the following statement:
The decision comes as a surprise to just about everyone considering Brady is a noted Donald Trump supporter, along with his coach Bill Belichick and team owner Robert Craft. As for the team, more than 30 players didn’t attend.
Brady did also skip out on the visit to the White House in 2015 when Barack Obama held office for the same reason.
