There were many critics of the surface that was played on in Super Bowl 50.
Having been replaced for the third time in the stadium’s existence, the field caused many players to change their cleats during the game after they were unable to get a grip in the turf.
On a play that occurred right at midfield sometime during the game, camera’s caught Panthers OT Michael Oher slide back almost 15 feet while being blocked by DeMarcus Ware bull rushed him with an end rush.
And yes, this is real, and not a Madden glitch…

Now the Panthers didn’t use this as an excuse for the loss, but remarkable to see none the less.
