The roller coaster of emotions Bears fans felt giving up a touchdown with a minute left only to drive down the field to set themselves up for a game-winning FG only to miss was extreme. The whirlwind for fans in Chicago that thought the kick went in was even greater.
Cody Parkey’s 43-yard field goal with seconds left was tipped at the line and began to angle left. After hitting it the goalpost, it the ball fell onto the cross bar, only to bounce back into the field of play rather than through the uprights.
That split second provided Bears fans with a glimmer of excitement only to come crashing down.
