Chris Johnson’s NFL combine 40-yard dash is no longer thanks to John Ross.
The Washington Huskies WR broke the record today running a 4.22.
Before the combine began, Adidas offered anyone who broke the record wearing their cleats their own island. Yes, an island. John Ross won’t be receiving it because he didn’t wear the 5-Star 40 cleats that were required, choosing Nike instead.
After the record breaking performance, Ross explained why he wasn’t as hung up over losing out on an island as many of us may have been.

Nike, who signed a deal with Ross, trolled Adidas after the record run.
On an island all by yourself.
Record. Broken. ⏱💨
