Richard Sherman’s Post Game Interview Leads To Racist Tweets

Richard Sherman is without a doubt one of the league’s emotional, confident and at times cocky players. But one thing is for sure, he’s one of the leagues best defense players and arguably the leagues best corner.

After Richard Sherman made the game clinching play to send the Seahawks to the Super Bowl, Sherman had a post game interview with FOX sideline report Erin Andrews that went viral on social media. Sherman told everyone that he is the best corner in the game and took shots at 49ers WR, Michael Crabtree whom he was covering on that play.

Regardless of what you think about Sherman interview, facts remain that after the game he was emotional and got caught up in the heat of the moment. But that’s no excuse of the racism some people on Twitter spouted at Sherman.

It’s safe to say that  on a day we honor Martin Luther King, we realize that there’s still a long way to go to eliminate racism in this world.
