Tyrann Mathieu Teams Up With PETA, Releases PSA About Leaving Dogs In Hot Car

Arizona Cardinals safety Tyrann Mathieu teamed up with PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) to release this public service announcement illustrating the consequences of leaving a dog inside a car in hot whether, even for the quickest errand.
Mathieu, who i’m sure a lot of us would consider a healthy adult couldn’t even last eight minutes after the inside of the vehicle reached 120 degrees. One can only imagine how damaging it can be for a dog to be left inside the vehicle for hours at a time. “If you’re going to make a dog a part of your family, then make him a part of your family,” Mathieu said.
“I seriously couldn’t imagine leaving my dog in a car like this, he said in the video.
Sadly, this issue is bigger than just people leaving pets inside cars, on average, 38 children die in hot cars each year from heat-related deaths after being trapped inside motor vehicles.
The former LSU Tiger, who came out of college with a questionable reputation after a series of off the field incidents has truly done a lot to his image and nothing proves that more than this PSA.
Hopefully if more and more athletes/celebrities come out and help raise awareness more on this issue, it can help save lives of not just dogs but also children as well.
