Aldon Smith Speaks For The First Time After Being Arrested

The 49ers offseason has been a complete and rough train ride with passengers leaving the train one by one but on Friday morning that train was wrecked when news broke that troubled linebacker Aldon Smith was arrested yet again but this time for felony hit and run, DUI and vandalism.

The 49ers have yet to publicly acknowledge the incident but Smith spoke to KTVU in San Francisco after posting bail claiming that “there was no DUI” and the “truth will come out”

“The people who are faithful remain faithful,” Smith said. “Simple as this: Justice will be served, the truth will come out, there’s no DUI. I’m sorry for anybody I let down, I’m sorry for the way this whole thing . . . I need to speak and I want everybody to understand, this wasn’t a DUI, the situation I had could have been handled differently and I apologize for everybody I did let down and I apologize for how it all played out. But as far as everything is concerned, it will work out the way it’s supposed to work out. That’s all.”

The Santa Clara Police Department confirmed that Smith will face charges that were stated above but Smith declined to explain what happened.
