Throwback To The Moment Osweiler Knew He Was Going To Leave Denver’s Ass High & Dry

Brock Osweiler seemed to have the perfect situation. Sit a couple years behind one of the greatest of all-time while getting paid millions and eventually get handed to starting job once Peyton Manning called it quits.

That’s not how things played out. Osweiler was benched in the final game of the regular season after struggling for the then relatively healthy Peyton Manning, a move which surely ticked him off. That combined with the outrageous amount of dough Houston shelled out for the QB was most likely the cause for his voluntary departure.

But this year’s playoffs weren’t the first time the team opted for Manning over a eager to play Osweiler. Throw it back to November 9th, when in a route of the Raiders, with a score of 41 to 10 in the 3rd quarter, the Broncos kept Manning in as Osweiler went to fetch his helmet and run onto the field, only to see Manning jogging out ahead of him; and his reaction was worth 1000 words. And now maybe 75 million dollars.
