NBA superstar Kevin Durant has is a well known Redskins fan.
The Oklahoma City Thunder’s main man wears his NFL fandom on his sleeve (quite literally), showing up on the sideline of Redskins games frequently in full attire, designing one of his signature shoes in a Redskins theme, having a tattoo of the team’s logo on his forearm, and even expressing interest in possibly having ownership in the team in the future.
But from the Thunder’s game day program, where Durant’s bio is listed, you would never expect this.

When asked about the ‘Greatest Sports Moment Before the NBA,’ the answer Durant gave:
When the Dallas Cowboys won their second title (in the 90’s), it was huge in the family. I hate the Cowboys now but I started off as a Cowboys fan because that’s all we had seen on the TV. But when they won their second title, that was pretty epic.
Having been born and raised in D.C., its hard to imagine Durant didn’t have the Skins games on TV regularly, even though the team didn’t win any of their three Super Bowls will he was alive.
Here is the shoe Durant designed with Nike, expressing in the caption to popular phrase around the fanbase ‘HTTR’, meaning “Hail to the Redskins.”
Hail to them all but the time their division rivals won the Super Bowl…seems quite like the bandwagon type move if you ask me.
