News shocked the music world today, when legend signer/songwriter Prince, was found dead at his recording studio in his Minnesota home.

But like many great icons, they find their connection with sports someway or another, and with Prince, it was his halftime performance in 2007 at Super Bowl XLI; regarded as one of the best, if not the best ever.

Super Bowl XLI was a wet one, with a storm pouring rain on during Super Bowl Sunday. The halftime show production designer Bruce Rodgers immediatley got Prince on the phone after he woke up and saw it was pouring, to make sure Prince knew it was going to be raining. The singer responded with, “Can you make it rain harder?”
