DAVIDSON COUNTY, NC – Hate him or love him, you can’t deny Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton is loved by the kids, and rightfully so.

After making concerted efforts to make kids’ days on and off the football field, people started to notice last season. The MVP turned his TD celebration from the Superman into a little dance to which he then gave the football to a kid in the stands.

During the season, it was handing out pigskins, and during the offseason, it’s making impromptu school visits.

According to a WSOC-TV in Charlotte’s Anna Starnes, Newton was driving in Davidson, NC a city outside Charlotte when he passed the Community School of Davidson. He then spotted a student wearing his jersey, to which after getting an ‘ok’ from the teachers, climbed the playground fence to surprise the group of 7th-graders, who needless to say, went nuts.

Community School teacher Mimi Siadak told Starnes “The students just herded all around him. I still can’t believe he did that.”

After letting the kids have a memory they will tell their grandchildren about, that they caught a pass from Cam Newton, he posed for a picture hitting the dab, because well, Cam Newton.
