Burning a players jersey had now become the customary reaction to a player leaving in free agency, choking, or in this case, sitting during the National Anthem.
Following the lead of Colin Kaepernick protesting the National Anthem, four Miami Dolphins kneeled in protest of the anthem and flag on the 15th anniversary of 9/11 last Sunday. As you can expect, most Dolphins fans were not happy.
Taken to a new level rather than bombarding the team’s social media with heated opinions and pledges to no longer support the team, one Dolphins fan who’s also a retired police officer took the the bonfire to get rid of his gear.
