Browns QB Josh McCown Gets Emotional Explaining Why He Played Through Injury vs Ravens

It’s very easy to make fun of the Cleveland Browns specifically their quarterback situation but what Josh McCown did last Sunday will leave you with nothing but respect for the 14-year veteran.

In his first game since taking over for the injured Robert Griffin III, McCown suffered a shoulder injury in the first quarter of the team’s Week 2 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. The 37-year old stayed in the game, going 20-33 for 260 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.

After the Browns blew a 20-2 lead, McCown’s game winning drive attempt fell short and the Browns fell to 0-2 on the season with a heartbreaking 25-20 loss.

After the game, McCown’s comments on why he entered the game will make you understand why many consider McCown one of the toughest QBs in the NFL:

It was announced earlier today that McCown will miss mulitple weeks after he underwent an MRI and the Browns will turn to their third string quarterback rookie Cody Kessler on Sunday.
