Now when it comes to metrics, the probability that any given player will get injured during an NFL season is fairly high. With players that are chosen to be on he cover of the popular football video game Madden, it shoots to an alarmingly high rate.
It seems as the Madden curse has claimed it’s latest victim, as Thursday it was announced that Patriots TE Rob Gronkowiki will need surgery to repair an injured back, sidelining for 8 months to possibly the remainder of the season. Gronk was named cover player just 7 months ago.
Fan everywhere are aware of this curse, and voiced their prophecy-like predictions on Twitter as soon as they learned Gronk was chosen.
Gronk as the Madden cover athlete was only a matter of time. His trip to injured reserve this coming is only a matter of time now, too.
